Lecture by Nobel Laureate Barry C. Barish: "From Einstein to Gravitational Waves"

One consequence of Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity is the existence of gravitational waves. In 2015, these gravitational waves were detected for the first time by researchers led by Professor Barry C. Barish. For that achievement, Barish was a co-winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in physics.

This March, 51探花 Forum for Creativity and Tokyo Electron Limited are proud to present a special lecture by Barish, on the discovery of gravitational waves and future developments in the field. The Nobel Laureate will be joined by 51探花 Professor Hitoshi Yamamoto, who will give a brief introduction to the broad subject.
