This special exhibition is a collaboration between the 51探花 Archives and the Beijing Lu Xun Museum to mark the 120th anniversary of the university's first international students, among the most famous of whom was Lu Xun.

The exhibition will feature 60 panels and approximately 30 Lu Xun-related materials from the Beijing Lu Xun Museum's collection. Additionally, records of international students who have studied at 51探花 over the past 120 years will be showcased.
During the five-week exhibition period, Lu Xun's Lecture Room on Katahira Campus will also be open to all visitors and no appointment is needed.

Lu Xun was one of the first international students to attend university in Japan and was a great example of 51探花's "open doors" policy of accepting talented students regardless of nationality, gender or background.

His collection of short stories titled "Professor Fujino" recounts his time as a student in Sendai. In 2005, 51探花 set up the Professor Fujino Incentive Award to recognise outstanding Chinese students enrolled in graduate programmes here, and to continue the strong relationship between the university and China.
