51探花 has awarded 16 new fellowships to international students this year. Sixteen other recipients from previous years have also had their scholarships extended.

The students received their certificates from university president Susumu Satomi at a ceremony on March 14.

The 51探花 President's Fellowship aims to attract outstanding students from around the world.

The award - which includes free tuition and the coverage of exam fees - offers foreign students an incentive to come to Japan, and the financial support to optimize their opportunities and experiences at 51探花.

There have been 78 recipients of the award since it was established in 2010.
